Christina Aguilera Color Me Mine!

Christina Aguilera carries her son Max, 17 months, to Color Me Mine pottery studio to make a Father’s Day gift in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (June 18).

The 28-year-old songstress is currently working on her new album and collaborating with many, including dance-punk band Le Tigre. Back in ‘04, lead singer Kathleen Hanna told EW: “‘I love Christina Aguilera. She has, like, mini-feminist messages.”

Can’t wait to hear the new sound!

Christina will attend Center’s ‘An Evening with Women on April 24, 2009

Songwriter/Producer Linda Perry and Impresario/Event Producer Brent Bolthouse will join the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center to present the Center’s ‘An Evening with Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality’ hosted by LGBT icon Gina Gershon, on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m. in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event will include a star-studded dinner with a performance by music industry giant Linda Perry featuring a very special appearance by Christina Aguilera.

Previously known as ‘Women’s Night,’ ‘An Evening with Women’ will honor lesbian and bisexual women who have made significant contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

This year’s event is striking a new note thanks to the support of Linda Perry, who invited Christina Aguilera and asked Brent Bolthouse to produce the event.

“Because the Center is so important to me, I wanted to do everything I could to make this year’s event the best ever,” says Perry, who is serving this year as one of the event’s three co-chairs alongside Center Board Members Kelly Lynch and Annie Goto. “My friends rose to the occasion to help plan an evening of incredible entertainment, including a live auction with Sharon Stone reprising her role as auctioneer.”

Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan to make cameos in season six of Project Runway

After a long hiatus due to the show's legal battle, Project Runway finally announces the 16 new designers slated to compete in the new season, premiering August 20. The show went into limbo after NBC Universal (which owns Bravo) sued the Weinstein Company after its reported $150 million deal with Lifetime for "Project Runway." The parties settled their dispute in April, months after the final Bryant Park finale had already been filmed.

Project makes a major move to Lifetime Television from its original home on Bravo, but you'll still have familiar faces: host/judge Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn and judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.

The sixth season is located in Los Angeles, with the designers switching from Parson's to the workrooms of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). "Project" makes the most of its Hollywood locale as celebrities Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan make guest appearance during challenges.

Though viewership may drop as a result of the lengthy break, loyal fans will no doubt tune in for week after week of pretty messes & messy drama. "The girls are very strong on season six. There's a lot of crying, there's fighting going on, there's a lot of drama going on — but especially with the girls." say Klum of the upcoming season. Regardless of how the transition plays out in the ratings, you only need to hear those three magic words for all to be right in the universe- "MAKE IT WORK!"

Cher Joins Christina Aguilera In ‘Burlesque’

Call it a hunch, but I think “Burlesque” already has its place in film history set. Not only will it be the acting debut of Christina Aguilera, but the modern musical has signed on the music icon of all icons: the one and only Cher. Yeah. It’s going to be flamboyant.

According to Variety, Aguilera will play an ambitious small-town girl fresh from the cornfields of Iowa. Possessing one heck of a voice (hey, it’s Aguilera) she goes West to pursue her singing and dancing dreams. The aspiring star winds up in a neo-burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard that’s run by Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to become a star.

The film will be a career first for the “Moonstruck” Oscar winner, as it will be the first time she uses her singing talents as part of a film role. Cher’s songs have appeared in countless films, but she’s never actually taken a musical part. The film will be directed by Steven Antin (Troy from “Goonies“!!!) off of a script co-written by Antin and Susannah Grant (”The Soloist”). Shooting is set to begin in November.

Cher was last seen onscreen in 2003’s Farrelly Bros’ comedy “Stuck on You,” but is taking a break from her show in Las Vegas to return to the big screen. In addition to “Burlesque,” she has also signed to co-star opposite Johnny Knoxville in “The Drop Out.”

There have been several online stories about Britney Spears supposedly offering Christina Aguilera tickets to see her concert a couple months back in Los Angeles. Since this column knows several people who work at Britney’s label, we decided to get further information and found out that the story is completely false.

I guess the tabloids love to keep fights between celebrities going, real or fake. It certainly makes more interesting reading material. But for those who really care, Christina Aguilera was never offered tickets by Britney Spears and we can now all live happily ever after.

A New Leading ManLove Interest, ‘Jack’ for Xtina in ‘Burlesque’ movie

Yet we have another Christina upcoming new movie, ‘Burlesque’ news updates! Sources has reported that there will be a new casting character of Xtina new love aka leading man name ‘Jack’. Hopefully, the actor will be chosen and annouced soon. The production company is still in progress searching for the right cast for the role.

We get word that casting is underway for the character of Jack, a struggling musician who tends bar at Cher’s character’s burlesque club — and becomes more than a friend to Christina’s character.

And, by the way, Christina Aguilera as a naive small-town Iowa girl who comes to the big city and gets drawn into burlesque? Yeah, there’s an acting challenge in there for the “Dirty” performer in the early scenes, for sure.

Christina will be on The X Factor

According to LD, Christina will be performing on The X Factor. Lets hope it is true!

Some big news from the UK today. Simon Cowell told people at the auditions for The X Factor that Christina will be performing at one of the live shows. The X Factor goes live around October time so if she is performing on X factor it sounds like its UK promotion for something.

Christina Aguilera By Night ~ new perfume

Pop singer Christina Aguilera will launch Christina Aguilera By Night, her third fragrance under arrangements with Procter & Gamble, in September. The new scent for women is a flanker to her eponymous fragrance, Christina Aguilera, and is meant to be a sultry version for evening wear.

The fragrance notes include mandarin, freesia, rhubarb, peach blossom, pineapple, heliotrope, vanilla, moss and sandalwood.

Christina Aguilera By Night will be available in 15, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. I do not know if it will launch in the US, but I would be surprised if it did since the original Christina Aguilera scent did not. (via parfumerie.nl)

Your profile as a producer has exploded since you worked on M.I.A’s second album Kala – has it been non-stop since?

Yeah, totally. There’s some real exciting projects on at the moment and it’s great that people’s tastes are changing and that mainstream artists are looking at doing something more creative or edgy that really ties in to what people like Wes and myself and [Santigold’s co-writer] John Hill are doing. It’s cool to be asked to spend a week with artists like Christina Aguilera and for them to be really open and trust us.

So you’ve been collaborating with Christina?
Yeah her and a few other people too, but I won’t say who just in case it’s not happening.

Gambit Script Making the Rounds

A first draft script for an upcoming Gambit origin movie is finished and being passed around. My uncle works for Marvel.

I know at least that Michael Madsen and Kevin Corrigan are being considered for Mr. Sinister and Christina Aguilera, Shannyn Sossamon and Linda Cardellini for Dazzler. Jared Padalecki of “Gilmore Girls” fame and Ian Somerhalder are considered for Gambit, cause Taylor Kitsch is busy shooting other films. My uncle and I are huge gambit fans… please don’t say my name, even though he is married to my aunt, but still =)

Cher joining Aguilera in ‘Burlesque’

In what will be her first movie star role in a decade, Cher is set to join Christina Aguilera in “Burlesque,” a contemporary musical for Screen Gems.

Steven Antin will direct from a script he wrote that was revised by Susannah Grant (Daily Variety, May 4).

Aguilera will play an ambitious small-town Iowa girl with a big voice who comes of age in a neo-burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard that’s run by Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to shine.

Cher will sing onscreen. While her voice has been heard in many films, “Burlesque” will mark the first time she’ll be seen singing in a film she stars in. Cher last starred in “Tea With Mussolini” in 1999.
Donald De Line will produce. Production begins in November.

Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper said he has been lobbying Cher to make her screen return, and once she said yes, it was a matter of creating room in her busy schedule of touring and performing in Las Vegas.

“She brings a soulfulness and gravitas to this character that will ground the story,” Culpepper said. “The only person who was more excited than I am is Christina.”
